Walk68 ("Walk68," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Walk68, how we use and protect that information, when information may be processed by third-party service providers, and the choices available to you.
By using Walk68, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create a Walk68 account, we may collect your email address, display name, authentication information, and an internal user identifier. If you choose to sign in with Google, information necessary to authenticate your account may be provided through Google.
Walk68 does not have access to your account password. Passwords are stored in hashed form by our authentication provider.
Personalization Information
Walk68 is designed to provide devotionals relevant to your spiritual journey. To personalize your experience, we may collect information you voluntarily provide through onboarding, Journey Check-Ins, and other features, including:
- spiritual journey stage;
- life season;
- areas in which you would like to grow;
- spiritual goals and hopes;
- devotional and learning preferences;
- spiritual practices;
- time available for devotional activities; and
- answers to occasional follow-up questions.
These responses help Walk68 determine appropriate Scripture, themes, devotional content, and experiences.
Journal, Prayer and Reflection Content
You may voluntarily enter personal content in Walk68, including journal entries, prayer requests, testimonies, responses to devotional questions, and feedback. This information is stored as part of your Walk68 account.
Your journal entries, prayer requests, devotional-question responses and feedback comments are not currently sent to the AI text models that generate your personalized devotionals.
Recent answers to certain personalization follow-up questions, however, may be included in the information provided to the AI system for personalization.
Please use discretion when entering personal information and avoid including sensitive identifying information about other people unless necessary and appropriate.
Devotional and Usage Information
Walk68 may maintain information necessary to provide and improve your experience, including generated devotionals, completed devotionals, devotional history, progress and streak information, favorites, regeneration history, session activity, and certain app interactions.
2. How We Use Your Information
We may use information collected through Walk68 to:
- create and personalize devotional experiences;
- remember your preferences and progress;
- generate Scripture-based devotional content;
- provide narration and other app features;
- maintain your journal, prayers and devotional history;
- operate and secure your account;
- provide customer support;
- respond to privacy and deletion requests;
- diagnose technical problems;
- understand how Walk68 is being used; and
- improve the Walk68 experience.
We seek to collect and use information only for purposes reasonably related to operating and improving Walk68.
3. How Walk68 Uses Artificial Intelligence
Walk68 uses artificial intelligence as a tool to help create personalized devotional experiences. AI assists with the creation of Walk68 content, but it does not operate without direction. Walk68's devotional generation system is intentionally designed to work within established biblical and theological guidelines, with Scripture as the final authority.
Personalized devotionals may be created using several sources of information working together: Scripture; information you choose to provide through your assessment, Journey Check-Ins, and certain personalization questions; and relevant guidance retrieved from the Walk68 Source Library.
The Walk68 Source Library
The Walk68 Source Library contains ministry materials provided by the owner of Walk68, including original sermons, devotionals, teachings, and other biblical resources.
When relevant to a devotional, selected portions of these materials may be provided to the AI as guidance in creating the devotional.
Source Library material does not replace Scripture and is not treated as equal in authority to Scripture. Walk68's generation system is instructed that Scripture takes priority over Source Library material, personalization information, and AI-generated reasoning.
Before excerpts are transmitted for AI processing, Walk68 replaces identifying terms that have been configured by an administrator (such as specific church, ministry, person or place names) with generic wording. Stored Source Library documents are not altered. In addition, the AI is instructed not to reproduce personal names, church or ministry names, or identifying locations from source material.
Personalization and AI
Walk68 may provide the AI with selected personalization information that you have voluntarily provided.
This may include your spiritual journey stage, life season, areas where you would like to grow, spiritual hopes, practices, devotional preferences, and certain recent personalization follow-up responses.
This information helps Walk68 create devotional experiences that are more relevant to where you are in your walk with God.
Walk68 does not currently send your journal entries, prayer requests, devotional-question responses, feedback comments, email address, or display name to the AI text models used to generate your devotionals.
Biblical and Theological Safeguards
Walk68's devotional generation system includes safeguards intended to keep generated content grounded in Scripture and within the biblical and theological framework established by Walk68.
The system is instructed to interpret Scripture responsibly and in context, distinguish between what Scripture teaches and pastoral application, and avoid forcing meanings or promises onto biblical passages that the text does not support.
The system is also instructed not to promote manifestation, law-of-attraction teaching, "speak it into existence" or "name it and claim it" theology, or the idea that faith is a force that can be used to control circumstances.
Walk68's AI is instructed not to guarantee health, wealth, healing, financial blessing, restored relationships, success, breakthrough, or other specific outcomes that Scripture does not promise.
The system is also instructed not to invent personal revelation from God, predict a user's future, claim that God has revealed a specific future event, or create quotations attributed to God that are not found in Scripture.
These safeguards operate behind the scenes and are intended to preserve a warm, personal and pastoral devotional experience while keeping Scripture central.
AI Narration
Artificial intelligence may also be used to provide narration or text-to-speech functionality for certain Walk68 content. Content being narrated may be processed by the service providing the narration functionality.
Limitations of AI
Artificial intelligence can occasionally produce errors, unexpected wording, or inaccurate content.
Walk68 encourages users to read each devotional thoughtfully, engage Scripture personally, and measure spiritual teaching against Scripture.
AI is a tool used by Walk68 to assist in creating the devotional experience; it is not presented as a substitute for Scripture, prayer, the work of the Holy Spirit, participation in a local church, or appropriate pastoral guidance.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
Walk68 relies on third-party providers to operate portions of the service. These may include providers for:
- hosting;
- database and storage;
- authentication;
- artificial intelligence;
- narration/text-to-speech;
- Scripture lookup;
- email delivery;
- fonts; and
- error reporting.
These providers may process information necessary to perform services for Walk68. They may also receive technical information such as IP address, browser information, or request information through ordinary internet communications.
Their handling of information may also be governed by their own privacy and data-retention practices.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
Walk68 currently uses first-party browser storage (and a small number of functional cookies) necessary for functionality, including your signed-in session, narration voice preference, and interface state.
Walk68 does not currently use advertising cookies, marketing trackers, tracking pixels, or cross-site behavioral advertising.
Because Walk68 currently uses functional storage rather than advertising or marketing tracking, a separate advertising-cookie consent system is not currently part of Walk68.
6. We Do Not Sell Personal Information
Walk68 does not sell your personal information.
Walk68 does not currently share personal information for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising. Information is provided to service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate Walk68 and provide its features.
7. Data Storage and Security
Walk68 uses technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect user information.
Current protections include authenticated accounts, Row Level Security on user-data tables, restricted administrative access, private storage for narration audio, HTTPS encryption in transit, provider-supported encryption at rest, and server-side protection of application secrets.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Walk68 retains information as necessary to provide your account and Walk68 features.
You can permanently delete your Walk68 account and associated personal information yourself from the You page (Delete my account), or request deletion without signing in — see walk68.com/delete-account. You may also contact us at: support@walk68.com
We will take reasonable steps to process verified deletion requests.
Some information may remain temporarily in backups, security logs, provider records, or other systems until normal retention periods expire. Information already processed by third-party providers may also be subject to those providers' retention practices.
9. Administrative Access
Authorized administrators may have technical access to information stored in Walk68 when reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, support, or administer the service.
This may include user-created content such as journal or prayer information stored within Walk68. Administrative access does not mean that Walk68 routinely reads users' private journal entries or prayers.
We seek to limit administrative access to legitimate operational purposes.
10. Adults-Only Beta
The current Walk68 beta is intended only for individuals 18 years of age or older.
Walk68 currently does not provide a parental-consent system for minors.
If we later make Walk68 available to younger users, we may revise our age requirements and privacy practices before doing so.
11. Beta Testing
During beta testing, Walk68 is still being developed and improved. Features, data practices, functionality, and available controls may change.
We may use feedback and technical information provided during beta testing to identify problems and improve Walk68.
We will update this Privacy Policy if our privacy practices materially change.
12. Your Choices
Depending on the Walk68 feature, you may choose whether to provide optional personalization, journal, prayer, reflection, and feedback information.
You may also contact us regarding:
- questions about your information;
- correction of account information;
- privacy concerns; or
- requests to delete your account or personal information.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Walk68 develops. When appropriate, we will update the effective date and provide notice of material changes.
If we materially change how previously collected information is used or shared, we will provide notice and obtain consent when legally required.
